I could write a lengthy introduction on how amazing street chalking is for vegan activism. And I wouldn’t lie, because it freaking IS! Chalking is a low cost, low effort, high impact, and fun way to spark curiosity about veganism. Everyone can do it!

But let’s skip the blah blah and get straight to the point. Here is my top list of vegan slogans, which will hopefully serve as an inspiration for your next chalking action.

Long slogans

• Why do so many say they are against animal abuse, but pay for it daily?

• “Going vegan” is simply transitioning from an animal lover in theory to an animal lover in practice.

• Don’t talk about peace and non-violence when there is a dead animal on your dinner plate.

• When we stop taking lives, we start saving the world. Veganism is the ultimate act of kindness.

• Some people are so skeptical of trying vegan food, they act like it’s made out of dead animals.

• Veganism is not a limitation. It is an expansion of your love, your commitment to nonviolence and your belief in justice for ALL.

• Most people would never consciously hurt an animal. Why pay someone else to do it?

• A peaceful world starts with how we treat the most vulnerable. Choose vegan ♡

But if you’re not, don’t worry! You don’t need to be a gifted artist to capture people’s attention. Trust me: Everyone can do it. Messages as simple as these can suffice to get people thinking:

Where do I get chalk?

If you have an art supplies shop or department store around the corner, try it there.

Otherwise, there are pretty good deals on Amazon (for example, here or here or here). It can’t hurt to have some in stock — from experience, you will use them up faster than you think. If you don’t like the feeling of chalk on your hands, I also recommend buying chalk holders.

Dear fellow vegans, it’s simple: if we don’t get active for the animals, literally nobody else will.
