Superb visuals, Pala. And, of course, your commentary alone is just as thought provoking.
Together, they do something I've always thought critical: expand the scope of engagement. By not confining discussion to animal rights, no matter how central they are, veganism looks more relevant to those who still consider it strictly a fringe movement. 👊🏼🌱
Thanks for your kind feedback, Hamish. Coming from such a brilliant author, it truly means a lot 💛
I completely agree. While we both know that veganism is fundamentally about avoiding animal exploitation and suffering, we also have to meet people where they are. The animals don't care whether someone first goes plant-based for ethical, environmental, or health reasons. What matters is that fewer animals suffer as a result.
In my experience, many people who make the initial shift for non-ethical reasons become much more receptive to animal rights arguments once they've changed their habits and seen that living without animal products is both possible and rewarding. Ethical concern often follows behavioral change, not the other way around.
Thank you for all that you do to promote compassion and combat cruelty. These tools you have created and shared with us are so helpful. Namaste 🙏🏼
Thank you so much, Jessica! It means a lot to know these are actually useful to you :)
